Whether you are taking on wood chip mulching for the first time or have experience applying it to your property, the team at Eshbach Mulch Products is happy to help from product selection to wood chip application. Here is our recommended 4-step application for wood chip mulching:
- Dig out 10” in the desired area.
- Fill 4” with ¾” Bluestone
- Cover with landscape fabric
- Fill with at least 6” of wood chip mulch
When it comes to your wood chip mulching, we want you to promote not only natural beauty on your property, but also one that is safe. We recommend 1” of wood chip mulch for every foot of fall. For example, if a swing set is 8 feet high, plan on 8 inches of wood chip mulching for your area.
